Hunters Fulfill a Young Boy’s Last Wish Amid a Wild Kangaroo Encounter
A group of hunters came together to help a young boy with terminal cancer fulfill his last wish: catching a 220-pound wild boar with his dogs. During the hunt, one of the highly trained dogs chased some pigs and accidentally collided with a big buck kangaroo.
The kangaroo grabbed and wrestled the dog by its protective gear, and the owner, worried for both the dog and the kangaroo, rushed in to help.
You can see the dog trying to escape, clearly wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. When the owner got close, the kangaroo released the dog but then tried to attack the man.
Knowing a kangaroo kick could cause serious injury, the owner backed off a few times to give the kangaroo space. Eventually, he had to punch the kangaroo in the snout to stop its advance, which gave him and the dog time to safely disengage.
Despite the absurdity of the situation, and some laughs after it was over, the hunters felt no malice towards the kangaroo. Their main concern was preventing any harm. Sadly, young Kailem lost his battle with cancer two days after this hunt, but this event remains a cherished memory for his family and friends. Thankfully, no animals were hurt during the incident.
