Jennifer Coolidge became iconic for her role as the MILF in the 1999 comedy American Pie.
During an interview with Variety, Jennifer Coolidge said at the time:
“I got a lot of sexual action from American Pie”
“There would be like 200 people that I would never have slept with!”
The journalist, Ariana Grande, then asked her:
“Do you remember the best dick you got from playing Stifler’s mom? Do you keep in touch?”
The journalist, Ariana Grande, wanted to make Coolidge laugh.
Here is what Jennifer Coolidge added:
“I’m glad you asked this because you see, I did say that jokingly [in a previous interview] and, God, you really can’t make jokes in our town, because I did make the terrible mistake of saying, ‘Thank God for that movie, I got to sleep with 200 men,’ or whatever,”
“And look, I would love to say that was true, but I mean, that was sort of an exaggeration—so I’m glad you’re asking me.”
“But it did sort of open up the world to a much broader group of handsome men—and younger men. This one guy was particularly young—legal, of course, it was all very legal—but it was funny because we had to.… The one moment was a little bit awkward because he.…”
Grande assured Coolidge that she didn’t need to get too personal (“I’m conscious of the fact that it’s Entertainment Weekly”).
The actor explained that the “very charming” young fellow had to call his mom to find out where Coolidge could get her hair done.
“It was so weird that happened on the phone, it was very clear that we were in the bed together,” she added.
Grande chimed in,
“I’m sure she was very thrilled and starstruck. I would’ve been thrilled. I would’ve been like, ‘Wow. Hello. What an honor to meet you!’”
Coolidge replied,
“Well, she gave me a good recommendation at a local mall, so it all worked out.”
Jennifer Coolidge has a lot of humor and that’s why we like her. 🙂
