Joe Lookphonbodee is a single dad living in Thailand. He adopted a child, her name is Cream. For Mother’s Day he didn’t want her to feel different from her friends. So, for the Adopted Child’s School event he decided he would dress like a mother.
Joe Lookphonbodee is a 48-year-old physical education and health teacher at Ban Noen Kroi School. Joe is really dedicated to his child’s happiness and he is 100% involved as a dad.
In August of last year, Ban Noen Kroi School hosted an event to celebrate Mother’s Day, where students were to attend with their mothers.
Joe knew that the absence of a mother could make Cream feel different from her schoolmates. So, Joe decided to get dressed like a mother to fill the seat reserved for Cream’s mother, ensuring she did not feel left out.
During the event, Joe’s love and dedication were on full display. He shared a video on social media, capturing the touching moment when Cream paid her respects to him and gave him a heartfelt hug with a beaming smile. Joe’s actions resonated deeply, highlighting the lengths a parent will go to for their child’s happiness.
Joe’s gesture didn’t just fill a seat; it filled Cream’s heart with love and pride. His willingness to step into a mother’s role showed Cream that she is supported and cherished, fostering a sense of completeness and security in her life.
Joe told Bangkok Biz News:
“When the school organizes Mother’s Day activities, I don’t want my child to have an inferiority complex… Personally, I’m not ashamed because I love my child.”
Cream added:
“I’m happy that my father dressed as my mother. He looked so pretty and it made me feel loved. This life doesn’t feel like it lacks anything.”
What a story! Just love. ❤️
